the picture from photoport is not a stock picture, unless he gave you permission to use his photograph, and if he did you should had said so in the description.
I just looked and did not see him give you permission. If he gave you permission then ignore me. I am just pointing out that with images that are not stock it is a good idea that when you post you work that you say that you have gotten permission from the original artist in your description. Otherwise and you may get comments like mine or even less polite. You are new here and lots of new Deviants do not understand the difference between stock and non stock and just linking your work to the original artist page is not permission. Also because you are new I will explain that taking something that is not yours without consent of the original artist is called ripping and believe it is something you do not want to be accused of on this website.
I agree. Even if his images are not used for professional work, we must understand that he never gave the permission to anyone to use his pics ! He surely gave his 100% to have this kind of results. Photography is truly an art and taking some parts of his pics is like breaking the results of the concept he made, well, the composition.
My boyfriend did a lot of photomanips and NEVER took any images in the category 'hotography'. I think it's a disrespect for the artist.
(Sorry for my english, I'm mostly french.... but I thought it was important to give my opinion)
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Spencer Kelly visits the Royal Albert Hall to see a digital graffiti wall where you can virtual spray paint to your heart's content and email the results to yourself.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
